Dumpsters are very useful but once you get one you'll usually have a lot of work to do and unless you have help it can be a tiring process.

Whether you're cleaning out the garage or a relatives house thats been lived in for 30 years the decision to plop a dumpster in your yard vs. hiring a junk removal service is not always easy. Some people aren't aware of the costs and the acutal work the service provides.

As for a dumpster it pretty straight forward you get some prices and sizes and pay one price when you're done regardless of whether you fill it up or not. The junk removal business is a little different and below are some items you should know about this type of professional clean-out service.

1. Most junk removal companies price the service based on how much space you take up in one of their trucks...meaning you only pay for the space you "use" or that they fill up in the truck. Its usually broken down in 1/4 truck sections.

2. A junk removal service is just that a service, they do all the work. They will take the debris, trash, appliance, old furniture from any location on a property all be it the attic, basement or back yard.

3. In most instances the stuff can be off your property in 30 mintues to 2-3 hours depending on how much junk you what disposed of.

4. Most removal companies are very competively priced and not much more than a dumpster when you consider they are providing all the labor. As an example a 15 cubic yard dumpster can cost anywhere from $450 to $525 and a full truck of simliar size can be in the range of $500 to $600.

Now, with dumpsters you have to make another call to have it picked-up, you have to hope they can come by quickly to get your car back in the driveway and lastly well let's just say we hope the neighbors don't see it sitting there overnight...
